Chef at Build 2016

We’re excited to attend Microsoft’s Build 2016 conference in San Francisco this week. Microsoft is a great partner to Chef and we’re always looking for opportunities to show off how well our technologies work together. At Build, we’re announcing a new integration that will be released soon.

Microsoft has an IT management solution called Operations Management Suite (OMS). With our new integration, OMS can collect logs from Chef servers on Azure and present the data in a dashboard. The dashboard is fully customizable and you can create rich charts and tables that let you understand the state of your environment at a glance. This integration is in beta but you can get the code today from https://github.com/chef-partners/chef-server-oms and try it out.

All of the integrations between Chef and Microsoft technologies have produced positive results for our joint customers. Learn more about how Chef works with Azure in our Channel 9 series or hear directly from customers like Nordstrom and MSN about how they’re automating their Microsoft stack with Chef.

If you’re attending Build, stop by the Chef booth (#609)! We’ll have Azure white papers and stickers to give out and we’d love to talk with you about how Chef and Microsoft can help you build your infrastructure. If you’re unable to attend Build, try Chef in the Azure marketplace today.
