The new Enterprise Management Associates “Top 3” report for DevOps has just released, and Chef is excited to be named one of the chosen vendors in the application deployment and management for DevOps. The report and recognition are based on a survey of more than 300 DevOps practitioners conducted by EMA in 2017. You can download the report here.

The EMA “Top 3” report looks at top priorities for container management and DevOps in Production for the upcoming year. The core of the report, written by EMA analyst Torsten Volk, looks at the top 10 priorities facing DevOps organizations today, from integrating with legacy systems and hybrid infrastructures, to containerization and Kubernetes management. In addition, Volk names the top 3 vendors offering DevOps solutions to help enable organizations to address these priorities. We’re proud to be named as one of the key vendors helping companies drive these DevOps transformations.

“InSpec and Habitat bring IT automation to the native cloud-level, by abstracting security, compliance, and application management from infrastructure,” said Torsten Volk, managing research director at Enterprise Management Associates. “Combined with the Chef Automate platform, InSpec and Habitat are an excellent backbone for digital transformation that goes far beyond containerization.”

In July 2017, EMA also named Chef Automate a “Top 3” vendor for “IT Automation for DevOps”, and “DevOps Security, Compliance, and Cost Control”. You can read that report here.
