Ohai Chefs!

Today we have released Chef Server 11.1.7, which contains the following security updates:

  • OpenSSL 1.0.1m
  • PostgreSQL 9.2.10
  • nginx 1.8.0

Please note that this update applies only to the Open Source Chef Server 11 product. Enterprise Chef 11 and Chef Server 12 have previously received these updates.

You can download this release from the Chef Server downloads page. Choose your distribution, then choose ‘11.1.7’ from the list of versions. Follow the upgrade instructions on the Chef Documentation site for upgrading a Chef 11 server.

Please note that Open Source Chef Server 11 is considered deprecated and is only receiving critical security updates at this time. Chef strongly recommends upgrading your Open Source Chef Server 11 installation to Chef Server 12.
