DevOps and the bottom line

Nicole Forsgren, Chef’s Director of Organizational Performance and Analytics, has published an article, “DevOps and the bottom line.” In it, she explains how DevOps gives companies a competitive advantage that far surpasses what traditional approaches, such as buying new hardware, can do.  For example, companies that adopt DevOps can deploy hundreds or even thousands of times a year and can run real-time experiments to learn what features their customers really want. According to data, high-performing DevOps teams are more agile, with reports of a 30x increase in deployments, as compared to companies that haven’t adopted DevOps.
