As part of Data Day Austin Opscode Technical Evangelist Matt Ray will walk attendees through launching a multi-node Hadoop cluster, and then show them the right direction to build their own. Matt will show them how Chef works and why it’s relevant to Big Data and DevSecOps.

This will be followed by a brief exploration of the Cluster Chef work that Infochimps has done. Matt will then hand the workshop over Flip Kromer of Infochimps for more Hadoop-specific questions.

To get the most out of this workshop, please check the prerequisites prior to the event. It is suggested that attendees go through the Chef Getting Started and have the Cluster Chef code downloaded.
