This morning, we added a new team member to the Opscode family, Barry Crist, our new Vice President, Enterprise. Barry was previously CEO of Likewise, a company with a strong open source to enterprise go-to-market model that had wide industry reach including OEM agreements with VMware, Dell, HP, Riverbed, and EMC. Likewise was acquired by EMC Isilon in September 2012.
At Opscode, Barry will be focused on guiding our enterprise strategy and execution as we continue to witness rapid growth of the Opscode Chef platform among the Global 10,000.
Here’s what Barry himself had to say about joining the Opscode team:

Barry was most recently as an Executive-in-Residence at Ignition Partners, an Opscode investor. Prior to Ignition and Likewise, he spent time as an executive at Mercury, now a division of HP, as well as Network Associates (now McAfee) and Apple.
