Ooyala is a cloud-based, software-as-a-service video platform that provides a complete range of services such as transcoding, content management, ad management and analytics. For the past year and a half, Ooyala has been using Chef to configure and provision its deployment framework, Atlantis.
Now, Ooyala is taking the next step. It’s adopting Chef Delivery to drive technological and cultural change across the organization. One goal is to have a single pipeline to develop, test and release software. The second, but no less important, goal is to use Delivery to shape a company-wide process for creating small teams organized according to DevOps principles that have full responsibility for their stacks.
