Chef at DevOpsDays Boston – Wrap-Up

DevOpsDays Boston continues to grow and grow at a rapid pace. Because of this, the event was hosted at the beautiful Park Plaza this year rather than the traditional Microsoft Nerd Center. Among other changes, the typical sweatshirts were ditched for Tea Party related t-shirts encouraging the dumping of “egos,” “blame,” and “silos”.

Wrap-Up: AWS Summit in New York City

We enjoyed meeting so many members of the community at the AWS Summit in New York City last week! The Summit started Wednesday, August 10th with a full day of sessions including one on Securing Cloud Workloads with DevOps Automation. There was also an awesome startup simulation where participants acted as a DevOps lead.

Microsoft is a great partner to Chef and we’re always looking for opportunities to show off how well our technologies work together. At Build, we’re announcing a new integration that will be released soon. Microsoft has an IT management solution called Operations Management Suite (OMS).

Chef talks security with Federal Trade Commission on Feb. 9

We’re big proponents of bringing compliance and security into the development process early and often. As it turns out, so is the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). During the FTC’s “Start with Security” event in Seattle, our own Julian Dunn will join panelists from DocuSign and Socrata for “Integrating Security into the Development Pipeline”.
